Using an Inclusive Framework to Increase Student Engagement and Participation
Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM
Central Standard Time UTC -06:00
This workshop uses an Inclusive Framework to enhance student engagement and participation. The Inclusive Framework is built on four core pillars: trust, community, participation, and engagement. Participants will learn strategies to foster trust by building positive connections with their students, building a sense of community through collaborative activities, being active participants in their courses, encouraging active participation by leveraging students' experiences, and empowering students by addressing student needs. By integrating these pillars, instructors can create a more inclusive and dynamic classroom that supports the success of every student.
