Active Learning and Student Engagement Techniques: Summer Course Design Series #6

Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 2:15 PM until 3:15 PMCentral Daylight Time UTC -05:00

    Armory Building, Room 182

This workshop aims to increase your repertoire of in-class activities. In a well-designed course, your activities should count as good practice for your assessments, and since your assessments are well-aligned with your objectives, your activities will also help your students achieve their learning goals. All this means you will need to have a variety of in-class activities to match the variety of your objectives and assessments. Come learn a few activities in this workshop, and also learn how to find even more activities.

You can also modify these activities to work outside of class, perhaps in an asynchronous online course.

This workshop is part of the CITL Summer Course Design Series. You do not have to attend the entire series to attend this workshop, but we do think you'll have the best experience if you attend most or all of the workshops.

This workshop counts towards the Graduate Teacher Certificate, the Certificate in Foundations of Teaching, or the Teacher Scholar Certificate.
